| I was just going to ask this question the other day, since most of what you hear on TT.net is about resolving problems. I'd wager that there are dozens of guys/gals here who have rebuilt with no major issues. This is what I am doing, you may not be doing the same... New gaskets all around New rings getting block dipped and honed at the shop water galley cleanup new bearings (+1 size) getting heads cleaned at the shop lapping in valves and new seals 60k kit new chras for stock turbos new plugs new EFI harness flow testing the injectors new oil pump (maybe, we'll see) This is basically a stock rebuild. I'll be taking my time. I'll be taking pictures, too. Hopefully I can put together a "How I rebuilt my stock engine back to stock" writeup based on the advice I've read about here. The big issue is time. If you have the time, you can do almost anything and get it right. I have a DD. This is my only saving grace. Although I have no problem to take my time, there are some things that are time critical (don't leave the rods in open air for too long, etc.) I am interested in others' experiences as well. Good luck
